Dr. Torrance A. JackoA native of Houston, Texas, Dr. Torrance Jacko answered the call to preach the Gospel at sixteen years of age. Enlisting in the United States Navy upon graduation from high school, he served in Yokosuka, Japan for two years aboard the aircraft carrier USS Midway. It was there that he met his future wife, Lisa, who also served in the Navy. While on the Midway, Torrance preached the first 6-day revival in the history of the United States Navy aboard a sea-going vessel. Over 120 men gave their lives to Jesus Christ in those six days. Many were healed, demons were cast out, and most were filled with the Holy Spirit. As a result of this mighty demonstration of the Spirit, Dr. Jacko was visited by the Chief of Chaplains from Washington, D.C. while the ship was in the middle of the Indian Ocean on a six-month deployment.
He was also given his own shipboard ministry that included two daily Bible studies and a Sunday morning worship service that are designed only for Navy chaplains.
Degreed by several Bible colleges, the Jackos received Doctorate of Ministry and Master of Arts degrees from Friends International Christian University in 1999.
Dr. Jacko founded Ambassadors International Ministries in October 1996. A strong family-oriented ministry, Ambassadors possesses a focus and emphasis on teaching the Word of God in the areas faith, finances, and family. Albeit lively in presentation, Dr. Jacko's direct teaching approach leaves listeners with a clear understanding of the Word. A powerful operation of the Gifts of the Spirit is also evident in his ministry, particularly in the Word of Knowledge and Prophecy.
In addition to his oversight of Ambassadors, Dr. Jacko serves as a member of the FICWFM Board of Directors and as an area rep for FICWFM's Southern California:Coastal:San Diego Area.
Drs. Torrance and Lisa are the proud parents of Torrance Jr., Joshua and Tamara.
