Dr. Michael A. Freeman is the Founder and Pastor of Spirit of Faith Christian Center (SOFCC), which is "one church in two locations" in Prince George's County Maryland. Dr. Freeman is a fourth generation pastor who has a heart to teach God's people how to achieve God's best in simplicity and in power.

Founded in 1993, Spirit of Faith Christian Center has produced a multi-million dollar strip mall, Faith Plaza (the North location), with a 1,100-seat sanctuary located in Temple Hills, Maryland. The South location, in Brandywine, Maryland has seating for close to 1,4000. Faith Plaza was designed to minister to the whole man - spirit, soul, and body. It houses the church sanctuary, Firm Foundation/Faith Academy (pre-K through 1st grade), Divine Design Hair Salon, the Family Life Center, a minister's training facility, a teen center called "Hang Time," an upholstery shop, computer training center, and a Bible bookstore. The most recent addition to Faith Plaza is the Spirit of Faith Bible Institute (SOFBI), an accredited school of higher Christian education, for those desiring to work in ministry or simply desiring a deeper walk with God.

"Living By Faith" is the name of the radio and television broadcast taught by Dr. Freeman, which is aired both locally and nationally.

Dr. Freeman's emphasis in ministry is faith, the family, and finances. His success in ministry is attributed to his taking a stand on Mark 11:24 in every aspect of his life, and by being an example to his congregation through his blessed relationship with his wife, Deloris (DeeDee), and their three children - Brittney, Joshua, and Brelyn.

His vision is to eventually build Faith City, a place where God's people will be brought into a position of faith and prosperity. Most of all, Faith City will be place that brings glory to God's Name.
